Noise is unwanted sound judged to be unpleasant, loud or disruptive to hearing. From a physics standpoint, noise is indistinguishable from sound, as both are vibrations through a medium, such as air or water. The difference arises when the brain receives and perceives a sound

PREVENT THE NOISE : Turn the volume down.
Walk away from the loud noise.
Take breaks from the noise.
Avoid loud, noisy activities and places.
Use hearing protection.

EFFECTS : Noise pollution affects both health and behavior. Unwanted sound (noise) can damage physiological health. Noise pollution can cause hypertension, high stress levels, tinnitus, hearing loss, sleep disturbances, and other harmful effects.
