Non Cooperation movement was started in 1920. It was the significant phase of Indian Independence movement from British rule. It was led by Mahatma Gandhi. Various social group participated in the movement with their different aspirations.
Gandhiji decided to withdraw non cooperation movement because the movement to cover intern at Chauri Chaura, Uttar Pradesh where the people sit on a fire in police station in which 22- 23 police man where burnt alive in 1922. Gandhiji wanted to stop violence at any cost.
