What is non periodic motion ? Give their five examples

Non Periodic Motion. The name itself implies that this type of motion does not repeat itself after a fixed time interval. Even though the motion of a body repeats, it can be non-periodic motion if it does not have a fixed time for repetition.

Examples of non-periodic motion:

1. Swaying of the branches of a tree

2. Motion of a bouncing ball under the action of gravity and friction

3. The running of a batsman between the wickets

4. Motion of the pestle in a mortar when operated manually.
