Normalizing process for steels is defined as heating the steel to austenite phase and cooling it in the air. It is carried out by heating the steel approximately 50 deg C above the upper critical temperature

Normalizing process :
Normalizing process is also known as normalizing heat treatment. Heating the steel at critical temperature, and holding some time long enough for transformation, to cooling the air. This process is called normalizing process.
