Notepad is a common text only editor . the resulting file typically saved with the text extension have no format tags or style , making the program suitable for editing system files or non formatted text such as program code etc .

Notepad supports both left to right and right to left based languages and one can alternate between these weaving formats by using the right or left ctrl + shift keys to go to right to left format or left to right format respectively.

The Notepad is a text editor included with Microsoft Windows. Tip: A text file is considered a plaintext file and Notepad is only capable of creating and editing plaintext files. Notepad saves any text file with a .txt file extension, which means no special formatting or fonts can be used.

It can also be used for designing a website..
