Nuclear decay processes are used in niche applications such as radioisotope thermoelectric generators. Generating electricity from fusion power remains at the focus of international research. This article mostly deals with nuclear fission power for electricity generation.

Nuclear energy is the energy released during nuclear fission or fusion, especially when used to generate electricity. It is also considered as one of the alternative sources for producting electricity but it is difficult to get rid of nuclear waste. So we don't use nuclear energy on a wide array.
