The energy harnessed by the nuclear fission or nuclear fusion to generate high amount of energy is called Nuclear energy.
In Nuclear fusion, atoms are combined or fused together to form a larger atom, generating tremendous amount of energy. Whereas in Nuclear fission, A larger atom splits into smaller atoms generating enormous amount of energy as well.
The energy generated in Nuclear fusion, however is larger than in the case of Fission.
