Nuclear Energy

⏩Nuclear energy , also called atomic energy , is obtained by the fission(breaking up) of the nuclei of certain elements , like uranium and thorium. This process gives out a lot of energy and some harmful radiation. The energy is used to heat water to make steam. The steam runs generators tp produce electricity. So, nuclear power is a kind of thermal power.

⏩Power plants that generate nuclear power require very little fuel, and they cause less pollution than coal-based power plants .
