There are two types of nuclear forces, namely, strong nuclear force and weak nuclear force.The strong nuclear force acts between protons and neutrons inside the Nucleus, and account for the stability of the Nucleus despite the proton repulsion. Whereas, the weak nuclear force manifests itself during some nuclear process such as the Beta-Decay, when a neutrino and electron are emitted from the Nucleus.
