NUCLEOLUS

A nucleolus is a small dense spherical structure present in the nucleus of a cell in eukaryotic cells .

FUNCTIONS

1. Nucleolus stores hereditary material i.e. DNA ( Deoxyribonucleic acid ) .

2. It coordinates the cell's activities which includes growth , intermediary metabolism, protein synthesis, and reproduction .

3. The primary function of nucleolus is to assemble ribosomes .
