A nucleotidase is a hydrolytic enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of a nucleotide into a nucleoside and a phosphate. A nucleotide + H₂O = a nucleoside + phosphate For example, it converts adenosine monophosphate to adenosine, and guanosine monophosphate to guanosine.
