If we talk about atom then nucleus is central part of an atom which carries protons and neutrons and have positive charge...
while, if we talk about cell then nucleus is also the central part in which highly coiled chromatin network present which carries DNA, nucleus controls all the cellular activities occuring inside cell. Therefore, it is also known as brain of the cell.
