when potassium iodide solution is added to lead nitrate solution, a thick yellow precipitate of lead iodide is formed.

Along with it potassium nitrate is formed in the form of solution.

Pb(NO)3(aq) + KI(aq) — PbI2(ppt) + KNO3(aq)
