The fact is that the caste system was introduced by the brahmins so that they can keep themselves at the higher positions.
According to their division the brahmins stands first in the order and are considered highly as they are the priests.
Then they created the kshatriyas to protect or to defend them.
Then the Vaishyas are created by them so that they will do farming for them and eat good foods.
They finally created the shudras to do their works as servants and many low works that the brahmins refuse to do.
