Hi mate

Question

What is ocular micrometer and explain?

Answer

A micrometer is a device that measures in fractions of a meter down to a micron (1/1,000,000th of a meter) which is about 1/50th of the diameter of a human hair. Some micrometers are also marked to measure in thousandths of an inch.

It is used to measure distances and tolerances too small to see effectively with the unaided eye, ie, you can see a hair but can’t measure its diameter its diameter with a ruler.

Some common uses are to measure sizes of nuts and bolts, gauge of wire, thickness of sheet metal, etc.

I Hope This Would Help You..
