Ohm's law states that electric current flowing through the circuit is directly proportional to voltage and inversely proportional to resistance.

I=V/R

Which means, when we increase voltage (V) then electric current (I) flowing through circuit also increases that's why directly proportional.

and when we increase resistance (R) the current (I) decreases, inversely proportional because presence of resistance obstructs flow of electric current.

Answer:

Ohm's Law is a formula used to calculate the relationship between voltage, current and resistance in an electrical circuit. To students of electronics, Ohm's Law (E = IR) is as fundamentally important as Einstein's Relativity equation (E = mc²) is to physicists.

Quantity Ohm's Law symbol Unit of measure (abbreviation)

Voltage E Volt (V)

Current I Ampere, amp (A)

Resistance R Ohm (Ω)
