Oncology is Branch of Medicinal science which deals with the study, treatment, diagnostic and prevention of cancer. The person/doctor who is specialist or who diagnoses the cancer patient is called as "oncologist". Nowadays, Some hospitals have special organisations and parts in their hospital just for treatment of Cancer.

There are 3 main major areas in Oncology, Mainly: Surgical, Medical and Radiation. On the basis of this, there are 3 types of oncologists: Medical oncologist: diagnose and treat the cancer using "Chemotherapy". Surgical oncologist: removes the problems like tumor while doing the surgery. Radiation oncologist: uses radiation therapy for diagnosis and treatment of Diseases.

Today, Modern hospitals have their independent departments of oncology. This departments works for further research and development in the field of oncology, treatment and diagnosis for new cancer diseases which world is facing today.

Cancer is a disease which occurs may occurs due to consumption of Tobacco and Smoking and sometimes it may occurs due to heredity properties. Today, After lot of discoveries and inventions, humans have finally made treatment for heavy disease like cancer, But at higher stages, Some types of Cancer diseases are very hard to treat and diagnose. Research and development is going on in this departments, Oncology is a field through which, we can go in the field of cancer treatment, diagnosis and for research and development.
