One direction or basically 1D is a British boy band..consisting of four members- Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Harry Styles..

In March 2015, band member Zayn Malik left the band for his own solo career..

They have 5 albums- 
Four
Up all Night
Midnight Memories
Take me Home
Made in the AM.

They have hit songs like What makes you beautiful, Midnight memories, HISTORY!!, Perfect, Steal my girl and so on..

They have won many awards like those of Brits, AMAs, EMAs and MTV Europe awards..

Most of their singles have been in the top charts of UK..

Presently,One direction is on a break...and is heard to be back soon..
