What is Ophelia’s emotional state as she reveals the encounter she has recently had with Hamlet in Act 2?

In Act II, Scene 1, Ophelia tells her father about an encounter she had with Hamlet where the prince entered the room in a state of distress, clothing unkempt, wild-eyed, and "with a look so piteous inpurport/As if he had been loosed out of hell..." Polonius thinks this erratic behavior is because Hamlet is distressed
