the pressure which is apply to stop the pressure of osmosis is called osmotic process

it is the movement of solvent particle through the semipermeable membrane from low concentration to high concentration is called as osmosis

Osmosis is the spontaneous net movement of solvent molecules through a selectively permeable membrane into a region of higher solute concentration, in the direction that tends to equalize the solute concentrations on the two sides.
