Osmosis is the movement of water molecules from an area of high water concentration (weak/dilute solution) to an area of low water concentration (strong/concentrated solution) through a partially permeable membrane.

Osmosis is an example of diffusion, which is when molecules tend to distribute themselves evenly in a space.

 osmosis is the flow of water from a region of high concentration to a region of low concentration.
activity- put some grains in water if it swells its hypotonic solution and if  it shrinks then it is hypertonic solution.
