Answer: Osmosis is the process of movement of particles from region of higher concentration to a region of lower concentration through a selectively permeable membrane. It mainly happens in liquids and gases. For example, the Osmosis process happens in our body for the movement of water molecules.

Hope it helps!

Answer:

Osmosis is a passive process and happens without any expenditure of energy. It involves the movement of molecules from a region of higher concentration to lower concentration until the concentrations become equal on either side of the membrane.
