What is oudh kisan sabha?

'Oudh Kisan Sabha' was a farmers' organisation, established on 17 October 1919. This farmer organization was related to the Kisan Andolan which worked for the benefit of the farmers.

The Oudh Kisan Sabha was founded under the leadership of Baba Ramchandra by the farmers who had parted ways due to differences with the Uttar Pradesh Kisan Sabha.

They founded the Awadh Kisan Sabha on 17 October 1920 in Pratapgarh district under the leadership of Baba Ramchandra. Initially, this farmer organization was limited to the Pratapgarh district only, but the credit for expanding that organization to the entire Oudh region goes to Allahabad High Court lawyer Matabal Pandey, who hailed from Pratapgarh. He expanded the Oudh Kisan Sabha to the entire Oudh region. This farmer organization has completed 100 years in 2019.
