What is overloading and short circuit

Overloading:-When too many electrical devices are connected on a single socket and heating caused is known as overloading.

Short circuit:- an electrical circuit in a device of lower resistance than that of a normal circuit, especially one resulting from the unintended contact of components and consequent accidental diversion of the current.

Overloading is a condition when heavy current flows through the circuit.. Whereas short circuit occurs when live and neutral wires come in direct contact with each other... Short circuit may be one of the reasons of overloading
