{\huge\star{\mathfrak{\underline{\underline{Answer:}}}}}

\textbf{Oxidation : } The chemical reaction in which addition of Oxygen or removal of Hydrogen takes place is known as Oxidation Reaction. In Oxidation the loss of electrons occurs. Due to addition of oxygen with an element the oxide of that element is generally formed.

Example :

2 Ca + O_{2}  \xrightarrow{heat}  2 CaO

Here, Calcium reacts with oxygen by heat and the product fromed is calcium oxide or Quick lime.

Oxidation:-

  • The oxidation process is the chemical reaction that occurs when Oxygen is added or Hydrogen is removed.
  • Loss of electrons happens during oxidation. The oxide of an element is often created when oxygen is added to it.

For example:-

  • Calcium oxide or quick lime is formed when calcium combines with oxygen using heat.

The chemical reaction is:-

  • 2Ca+O_2-(heat) ->2CaO
