Ozone is a gass that makes the ozone layer which protects us from UV(ultra violet) radiation edmited from the sun.the ozone layer is depleting due to CFC (chlorofluorocarbon) created by air conditioners,fridges etc

Hii There !!!

Here is your answer....

=> Ozone is found in the Stratosphere and it is a product of UV radiations acting on dioxygen (O2) molecules.... The UV ( Ultraviolet) radiations split apart molecular oxygen into free Oxygen (O) atoms.... These Oxygen atoms combine with the molecular oxygen to form OZONE (O3) .....

Equation :-
O2(g) -----------> O(g) + O(g)

O(g) + O2(g) ----sunlight------------> O3(g)

# £ffects of Depletion of the Ozone Layer :-

(1) UV radiations lead to ageing of skin , cataract , sunburn , skin cancer , damage to fish productivity etc.....

(2) The plant proteins get easily affected by UV radiations which leads to the harmful mutation of cells....

(3) It also Increases evaporation of surface water through the stomata of the leaves and decreases the moisture contents of the soil.....

# Roles of Protecting the life on Earth :-

(1) It absorbs Harmful UV radiations coming from the sun.....

(2) ozone also plays a key role in the way the atmosphere is structured.......
