When inhaled, ozone can damage the lungs. Relatively low amounts of ozone can cause chest pain, coughing, shortness of breath and, throat irritation. It may also worsen chronic respiratory diseases such as asthma as well as compromise the ability of the body to fight respiratory infections.

Ozone is mainly found in two regions of the Earth's atmosphere. Most ozone (about 90%) resides in a layer that begins between 6 and 10 miles (10 and 17 kilometers) above the Earth's surface and extends up to about 30 miles (50 kilometers). This region of the atmosphere is called the stratosphere.

From the Earth's surface through the bottom layer of atmosphere, called the troposphere, temperature decreases with altitude. ... In the stratosphere, temperature increases with altitude. This is because of ozone. When the ozone in this layer absorbs UV light from the sun, it increases in temperature.

The combination of 3  molecules of oxygen is ozone(O3)  it is found in troposphere it helps us from the ultra voilet radiation of the sun but still it ia poisonous and when ozone layer is tore the poisonous gas comes to earth and may cause greenhouse effect or global warming.
