Ozone layer:-

The part or region of Earth's stratosphere which absorbs most of the harmful ultraviolet rays emitted by the radiation of the Sun. It was discovered in the year 1913 by French physicists Charles Fabry and Henri Buisson. About 97 % to 99% of harmful ultraviolet rays is absorbed by the ozone layer. It has a large amount of ozone in it \bf{O_3}. It is a special form of oxygen. The speciality is that the ozone is made up three oxygen atoms rather than 2 oxygen atoms.
