What is ozone layer and how it is getting depleted

The ozone layer is an outer protective covering to the Earth present just above the atmosphere. It is made from 3 molecule of oxygen and is known as O3.

The ozone layer gets depleted by the excess production of CFC's that is chlorofluoocarbons. 
These are produced by the usage of AC and refrigerator.

These cfc's break down the O3 molecule to O2 and O which causes a hole in the ozone layer.
