The ozone layer contains a band of ozone gas , which is an allotropic form of oxygen .It is present in the upper layer of the stratosphere and thelower layer of the Mesosphere near the Stratopause . Ozonosphere is very important to us as it blocks the harmful ultraviolet rays from reaching the earth's surface.Unfortunately , there is a hole detected in the ozone layer.
