Ozone layer is the layer that is found in two regions the Stratosphere and the Troposphere.
The layer of ozone in the Stratosphere is generally termed as the OZONE LAYER.
The chemical formula of ozone is O3.
It is the layer which protects the earth and the living forms from the harmful ultra-violet(UV) rays. It absorbs the UV rays and allows only a small amount to reach the Earth's surface hence minimizing its harmful effect.
However, the increased use of Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC's) based items like refrigerators, air conditioners, aerosols, etc. are having an adverse effect on the Ozone layer thus depleting them.
