What is palate in buccal cavity
Answers
Answer:
palate is the roof of buccal cavity which consists of 2 parts
1 hard palate made of bone
2 soft palate made of flesh
Explanation:
palate separates the mouth and oropharynx from nasal cavity ( the cavity of nose)
it starts from the teeth and runs behind...In front it is made of bony structure and is called hard palate which makes front two third of the roof
the behind or posterior one third of roof is made of fleshy tissue which is called soft palate
it's a very important structure that helps in proper swallowing of food and production of voice too as it also makes floor of the nasal cavity
if it has a whole in it called cleft palate the baby is not be able to breast feed properly as milk will go into the nasal cavity and then lungs leading to death of baby so babys with cleft palate are not allowed breast feeding
