Question :-

What are parallel lines?

____________________

Answer :-

Two or more lines having undefined starting and ending points when equidistant and never intersect each other till whichever length are parallel lines. The distance between parallel lines remains constant throughout the lines.

Say, if the distance between 2 lines is of 5 cm, this distance will remain 5 cm till line is produced. Since, a line is never ending, therefore, the distance between the lines i.e. 5 cm remains 5 cm till infinity cm.

  • In geometry, parallel lines are lines in a plane which do not meet; that is, two straight lines in a plane that do not intersect at any point are said to be parallel. Colloquially, curves that do not touch each other or intersect and keep a fixed minimum distance are said to be parallel
