Parasitic nutrition is the mode in which a parasite gets nutrition from host body.

Explanation:

1. Let us first understand what actually parasite means. Parasite is an organism which lives in or on the body of other living forms and acquires nutrition from them.

2. The parasite gets benefited but the host organism gets harmed.

3. This mode of obtaining nutrition by parasites from the body of a host organism is known as parasitic nutrition.

4. This mode of nutrition falls under heterotrophic nutrition.

5. The interaction between the parasite and the host is +ve and -ve. This means that one organism gets benefited (parasite) while the other gets harmed (host).

Example:

Example of an organism that follows parasitic nutrition is Tapeworm. It dwells in the small intestine and gets attached there with the help of hooks and suckers deriving nutrition from the host body.
