parenchyma is widely distributed in plants body in the stems ,roots,leaves ,flowers and fruits

parenchyma serves as a packing tissue which fills the spaces between other tissue and maintains the shape of the plant due to turgid cells

they transport materials occurs through the cells or cell walls of parenchmal cells

if chloroplast is present then it is called chlorenchyma

in aquatic plants (hydrophytes,like hydrilla) large cavities are present in parenchyma which give buoyancy to the plants and helps them to float in water
