What is Parkinson's disease?

Answer:

The Parkinson's disease is a degenerative disorders of the neurons that particularly affects the basal ganglia and the substantia nigra region of the cerebrum. The neurons of the substantia nigra release a neurotransmitter called the dopamine which takes part is controlling and coordinating the movements. When the substantia nigra is hindered from releasing the dopamine, it causes Parkinson's disease characterised by uncontrolled body movements, tremors etc.
