for example, lets say you are looking at a scale, when you look from the sideways, you seem to have a measurement of 12.5cm, but when you look at it from 90degrees, it seems to be 12.3cm. Therefore, measurements must be viewed at right angles and this wrong measurements taken due to wrong viewing are known as parallax errors
