Hey!

The definition of Parthenogenesis is: Parthenogenesis is a natural form of asexual reproduction in which growth and development of embryos occur without fertilization. In animals, parthenogenesis means development of an embryo from an unfertilized egg cell and is a component process of apomixis.

Parthenogenesis in a sentence:

Parthenogenesis is of normal occurrence in the life-cycle of many Hymenoptera.

They are the most resistant to unfavorable conditions of environment, and are able, by a process of parthenogenesis, to give rise to ordinary, indifferent forms again, which can repopulate the gnat.
