A partisan is a person who is strongly committed to a party or a group.
Partisanship is this commitment to a party by a partisan.
Just like friend and friendship.

therarelamia: partisanship is marked by a tendency to take a side and inability to take a balanced view on an issue.

A partisan is a strong supporter of a party, cause, or person whereas Partisanship is prejudice in favour of a particular cause; bias.
