Loius Pasteur discovered a tratement for rabies which is know by Pasteur's Trerament in which a course of 14 vaccines was given. This was first used on 6 july 188 to treat a human bite victim.

Currently 5 anti-rabies vaccines are prescribed at an interval of 0-3-7-14-30 day of dog bite.
