Patta and Qabuliyat are two types of agreements of understanding made between people and the government regarding their lands.

Patta is an agreement given by the government to the person who is purchasing the land. Qabuliyat is another form of agreement or a written document where in the land owner agrees to give his land on rent.

This Patta and Qabuliyat were first introduced during the period of Sher Shah Suri. This acted as a perfect system in the land settlements between the people.
