Pavement epithelium or also known as pavement membrane consists of a group of flat squamous epithelial cells which join to form a membrane like a pavement (floor).They have an oblong nucleus.

It is found in:

#Air sacs of the lungs,

#Capillary lining,

#Peritoneum,

#Bowman's capsule..
