Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is typified by the build up of numerous cyst in the ovaries, along with high male hormone levels, lack of ovulation and metabolic disturbances.

PCOS is common condition among women. Women with PCOS tend to irregular mensutural cycle.
In some women , their periods may sometimes stop. While researchers are not certain about the exact cause of PCOS, it is known that an imbalance of the endocrine system is responsible for most of the change associated with PCOS.
However, it is still not known what exactly cause such changes.

PCOS often manifests in one's teenage years.
