It is a well known fact that pedosphere is another term for the outermost layer of the earth including the soil composition.

The layer lies at the cusp of the lithosphere, hydrosphere and biosphere.

One of the most important aspects of the soil formation is the weathering of the rocks and dissolution of the minerals to a great extent.

Acids pushed out by the plant roots dissolve into the soil and makes the layer thicker.
