Percentage yield
the experiment yield or actual yield any reaction is always less than the theoretical are calculated yield from the balance chemical reaction this is because of certain side reaction taking place or less ideal condition then required.
therefore, percentage yield is the percent ratio of experimental and theoretical yield
percentage yields = experimental yields / calculated yield * 100
