Periodic motion is any motion any motion in which all the parameters of motion are repeated after a definite time interval.

OR

in simple language you can say that any motion which repeats itself after a fixed interval of time.

Periodic time : the time which elapses between successes passages in the same direction through any point is termed as the periodic time or the Period Of the motion.

the number of periods comprised in one second is called the frequency; they, if T is the period , & ψ be the frequency of a periodic motion, then ψ=1|T.

For Example : I)the motion of the hands of a clock is periodic the period of the motion of the minute hand being 1 hour or 3600 seconds.

II) the bob of Pendulum moves periodically, the period being equal to the time of one complete (to and fro) oscillation. periodic motion along any path.

III) Earth in its orbit around the Sun.
