Hey!

The periodic table is a table which contains elements in their increasing atomic number.

They are arranged in groups and periods.

There are 18 groups arranged vertically.

There are 7 periods arranged horizontally.

The periodic table indicates and highlights the regular trends in properties of elements.

They are arranged in a specific manner.

There are 118 elements in the periodic table.

About 91 are metals.

About 17 are non-metals.

There are 6 metalloids.

There are about 5 halogens.

In short, the periodic table plays an important role in recognizing the properties of the elements.

It was discovered by Dmitri Mendeleev.

Hope it helps^^

Hiya!

> What's Periodic Table?

Let's dive right in xD

Periodic table is a tabular (table) arrangement of elements

This are grouped and ordered according to the element's atomic number, electronic configuration etc.

It shows the Periodic trends of the elements. That's why it's called Periodic Table.

There is a total of 118 elements, in which 94 are naturally occurring

6 group has been accepted.

Generally, Metals are shown on the right, and Non-Metals on the left.

Russian Chemist Dmitri Mendeleev was first to publish a recogonisable periodic table in 1869

It helps in analysing chemical reactions and are generally used in Physics and Chemistry

Glad if helped.
