What is permanent tissue .How many permanent Plant tissues are there? Name them. Write the functions of each permanent tissue of plants. ( 2+2+6=10)

The tissues in plants are of two types, simple as well as complex permanent tissues, the example of a plant tissue is Meristematic tissue whereas the permanent tissue is Parenchyma. Xylem and Phloem are also both the tissues.

The permanent tissue in plants mainly helps in providing support, protection as well as in photosynthesis and conduction of water, minerals, and nutrients. Permanent tissue cells may be living or dead.
