In chemistry, pH is a scale used to specify how acidic or basic a water-based solution is. Acidic solutions have a lower pH, while basic solutions have a higher pH. At room temperature, pure water is neither acidic nor basic and has a pH of 7.

The word PH means power of hydrogen. It is used to measure acid or base or neutral. You can test water based solution to check whether it is acid or base. If the PH value is 1 to 6 then it's acid. If the PH value is 7 then it's neutral. If the PH value is 7 to 14 then it's base.

●Ph is known as power of hydrogen.
●It is a scale which is used to determine whether a substance is either acid or base or neutral
● it has 1 to 14 segments
● if the ph shows the value from or btw 1 - 6 ... then the substance is acidic in nature .
● if the ph of a substance is from or btw 8 - 14 , then the substance is basic in nature
● if the ph shows 7 , then the substance is neutral . Ex : water ( H2O )
