A pH paper is called a UNIVERSAL INDICATOR because it gives the strength of a solution( Shows how much alkaline or acidic the solution is) .

pH means power of hydrogen. A pH scale consists of values ranging between 1 and 14, 1 being the most acidic and 14 being the most basic and 7 being the neutral value.
